Barrie Lester joined the Lakes Entrance Club at the age of sixteen,
already Club Champion at his previous club. With John Snell as his mentor
Barrie has improved his game to such an extent that, in season 2002-2003
he was selected to represent Victoria in a number of interstate games.
Barrie has been one of our top division one skippers.
Whilst playing at Lakes Entrance Bowls Club, Barrie represented Victoria
on 52 occasions and was selected in the Australian under 25's Development
Squad.
Barrie now represents Melbourne Bowls Club in the Victorian Premier League.

Runner-up in the Moama Grand Prix Pairs event with Nathan Rice again
beating Mark Casey and Kelvin Kerkow in the semi final
Currently in the last 8 Man Squad for the Commonwealth Games which will be
cut to the final 6 on December 15th 2005
Barrie has played over 80 games for the Victorian Men's team and has been
promoted to third in the State Team to play Tasmania in a 5 test series
starting 6th December 2005 at Clayton Bowls Club in Melbourne.
